The theme for our first annual RainforestAid09 festival is Choice. Help RainforestAid09 spread the word globally about how the impact of our lifestyle choices affect our planet. The festival will examine the choices that are not working for us and those which are. As a guest or partner of RainforestAid09 we ask that you consider better decisions regarding: 

• Community and Health
• Energy and Transportation
• Air and Climate
• Food and Water

And your affect on the local population in Southern Costa Rica

RainforestAid09 will provide clear examples of choices in each of these areas. This is a time when it's especially important for all of us to realize that we are in this together.  Our rainforests and planet depend upon each of us making better choices. If not now ….when ?  We are working hard to walk the talk at RainforestAid09, addressing tough questions like these:

• sustainably bring 2000-3000 festival goers to the Osa?
• offset the festival's carbon footprint?
• accommodate 2000-3000 participants?
• limit and dispose of waste created during the festival?
• balance international publicity and education?
• promote sustainable and safe interactions with the rainforest among festival participants
