National Parks in Southern Costa Rica |
Southern Costa Rica boasts some of the nicest parks in Central America. You can visit Corcovado National Park, Piedras Blancas National Park, Caño Island Marine Reserve and Ballenas National Marine Park. These parks are some fantastic places to see the huge variety of flora and fauna and the marine life of Costa Rica.
In all of Costa Rica's National Parks, you will get to see many species of animals including 4 types of monkeys, exotic birds like parrots, scarlet macaws and toucans, crocodiles and other reptiles. In the ocean you can swim with 3 types of dolphins and on occasion see humpback whales and whale sharks as well as a host of other indigenous species.
